About Kelnan Plants
My name is Chris Osborne and I run Kelnan Plants with my mum Fay. I have been a nurseryman since leaving horticultural college in 1986. I owned Churchtown Nurseries from 1989 until Dec. 2011. It was here I started growing and showing South African plants – winning 26 RHS gold medals including Chelsea gold in 2007 and 2010.
We relocated to a new site in January 2012 (lots of hard work still ongoing), and with a new name of Kelnan Plants. Kel nans being Cornish for hidden valley.
Unfortunately we are no longer open to the public, but we can be open by appointment if you want to come and spend a pound or two!
I already grow Restios, Proteas and other South African species. This I hope to build upon as well as increasing collections of other Southern Hemisphere plants.
